The recipe for this dish was provided to us by Restaurant Gondola from Sotina.
DRUNKEN CARP SREM STYLE
Ingredients:
1 carp (about 1 kg)
200 g onions
1 tablespoon ground red paprika
500 g tomatoes
400 ml white wine
100 ml oil
Salt
Pepper
50 g bacon
2 bell peppers
Preparation: Clean the carp and salt it, then cut pockets on one side that you will fill with bacon. Place the prepared carp in a greased dish in which it will bake in the oven.
Meanwhile, sauté the chopped onions in oil, add the sliced bell peppers, and the peeled and diced tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper and sauté for a few minutes. Add the ground paprika and wine, then pour it over the carp. Bake in the oven for about an hour at 200°C.
For an authentic homestyle experience, serve in the dish it was baked in.
We recommend serving with roasted potatoes, rice, or mashed potatoes.
