Restaurant Purga

Restaurant Purga is located in the municipality of Zlatar Bistrica and offers an authentic ambiance where guests can experience the flavors of traditional Zagorje cuisine, as well as fish dishes prepared with the unique touch of Zagorje chefs. The menu also includes a rich selection of premium wines from Zagorje and other Croatian regions.

The restaurant's name, inspired by the term once used by local farmers to describe the land they cultivated around noble estates, reflects its dedication to preserving and celebrating tradition. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant makes it a perfect spot for a top-tier gastronomic experience. Its authentic Zagorje-style decor, open fireplace, and terrace provide a warm and homely vibe.

The kitchen at Purga has revived recipes for Zagorje specialties, proudly presenting a wide array of fish dishes as well. The foundation of their cuisine lies in preparing traditional meals with a modern twist, with a constantly evolving menu enriched by attractive daily offerings made from carefully selected seasonal ingredients.

The indoor dining area accommodates up to 100 guests, while two open terraces can host an additional 80 people. The restaurant is also an excellent venue for various gatherings, celebrations, receptions, and events.

To complement the dining experience, Purga also offers accommodation in two traditional wooden Zagorje houses, featuring a total of eight rooms.
