That tourism is restarting was proven yesterday in Jastrebarsko at an event where an Agreement on Project Collaboration for the Development and Implementation of the "Flavors of Croatian Tradition" project was signed between 10 county tourist boards (Vukovar-Srijem, Brod-Posavina, Požega-Slavonia, Koprivnica-Križevci, Bjelovar-Bilogora, Varaždin, Krapina-Zagorje, Zagreb County, Sisak-Moslavina, and Lika-Senj). This is the largest program collaboration achieved so far within the system of Croatian tourist boards. The signing was attended by the Assistant Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Monika Udovičić, as well as representatives of the Croatian National Tourist Board and the tourism sector of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.
This project collaboration, as stated in the Agreement, aims to promote, develop, and enhance the offer of local traditional dishes, the production and offer of traditional ingredients and products in the offer of catering facilities bearing the "Flavors of Croatian Tradition" standard, their mutual networking for joint market positioning, and educational, promotional, and marketing activities aimed at better recognizing Croatia as a gastronomic and oenological destination based on local diversity and specialties that create conditions for the development of new national and local eno-gastronomic tourist products.
After the signing ceremony, the Vinogradarska kuća Braje excursion site was awarded the "Flavors of the Zagreb Region" standard. This brings the number of catering facilities in Croatia bearing the Flavors of Tradition standard to 129.
As part of the event, the Project Council was constituted to manage its development, and Mrs. Rujana Bušić Srpak, director of the Vukovar-Srijem County Tourist Board, was elected as its president.
